World Ethical Foundations Consortium
The World Ethical Foundations Consortium (WEFC) is a highly directed initiative promoting the understanding and application of compassionate ethics in the world community. Our distinguished members are individuals demonstrating a high degree of ethics and commitment to humanity—compassionate ethics—and an expertise in at least one community branch. We provide these individuals with a unique ethical toolset enabling each to resolve ethical questions and achieve a deeper understanding of the nature of compassionate ethics. With this understanding, a person can come to experience compassionate ethics within more fully and, in turn, apply it in all decisions. In this way, WEFC experts may examine any issue within the world, understand the nature of the fear underlying the issue, and create innovative pathways to resolve the issue through compassion.
The World Ethical Foundations Consortium, a groundbreaking event (by the same name) to take place in the New York Capital Region April 18 – 22, 2009, is the initiative’s first formal gathering. The guest of honor will be His Holiness The Dalai Lama.
Ethical Humanitarian
From the Ethical Humanitarian site: “It is our mission to support endeavors that help us to embrace our humanity, build our ethics, and move us towards a more noble civilization.
Historically, the discovery of scientific thinking and logic created improvements in civilization. The enticement of these conveniences caused many influential people to forget the source of this thinking: Humanity.
We believe transforming this thinking throughout the different branches of society; education, business, science and government is vital for the future of our children and future generations.
We believe it is essential for our decision processes to evolve to a humanity first foundation.
It is our hope the effects of such a shift in thinking and process will set a new course for humanity; steering us towards a more noble civilization.”
NXIVM
The mission of NXIVM is to help transform and, ultimately, be an expression of the noble civilization of humans. We all have the potential to live and work together, but this potential is often cut short by opposing interests and beliefs.
This ongoing struggle greatly limits our ability to experience ourselves and the world. Although it appears this struggle has thrived for as long as humanity has existed, it does not mean that it must continue to be so. As the late René Dubos wrote, “Wherever human beings are concerned, trend is not destiny.”
NXIVM embodies a set of consistent and universal principles in which all humans can participate. These principles – apart from any mystical or religious notions – allow for life to persist and uphold a diversity of beliefs.
